Could electronics be what's causing runaway cars? - USATODAY.com
Could electronics be what's causing runaway cars? - USATODAY.com: "Allegations of unintended acceleration by Toyota models that are not part of the recall and by cars from other automakers have revived debate over whether electromagnetic interference is the cause of such incidents.
The theory is that electrical signals — from sources as diverse as cellphones, airport radar and even a car's own systems — briefly and unpredictably wreak havoc with sensitive electronic controls in vehicles. It's an argument trial lawyers and consumer advocates have made for years."

FCC survey shows need to teach broadband basics - USATODAY.com: "The survey found that 35% of Americans do not use broadband at home, including 22% of adults who do not use the Internet at all. Of that 35%, 36% say it is too expensive, while 19% do not see the Internet as relevant to their lives. Another 22% lack what the FCC calls 'digital literacy' skills. They fall into a category that includes people who are not comfortable with computers or who are scared of 'bad things' on the Internet.
Among people who do not use broadband, 65% say there is too much pornography and offensive material on the Internet, 57% say it is too easy for personal information to be stolen online and 46% say the Internet is too dangerous for children."
